Who We Are......

Alabaster Box Restoration Housing is a Refuge.

Alabaster Box Restoration Housing (ABRH) strives to focus on the holistic need of our residents and be able to provide the most optimum experience. We strive to personalize each individual’s transition plan to insure that each resident will become productive citizens in the community.

Philosophy

We believe that our primary function is to identify and meet the educational, employment, psychological, social, and cultural needs of our residents. We believe that such comprehensive outreach, within a holistic framework, requires complete and ongoing collection of data with the residents to identify needs and this information must be available to designated staff. We believe that goals for meeting individual needs must be mutually set with a collaborated team. These goals are consistent not only with normal physiological functioning, but also biophysical status and growth and development, behavior patterns, and human material resources. To better accomplish these goals, all departments within the office as well as outside programs must cooperate and work together in planning for and providing outreach to our residents.

We believe that psychosocial factors exert the greatest influence of our residents. Interactions are instructed to promote mental health and social well-being. Because therapeutic communication is so important, we believe we should use all resources in helping the individual overcome barriers.
